Three ways to set your budget
The consumables dossier separates exact references from checks still outstanding. Identifying a part does not guarantee stock or replacement frequency. It creates an auditable budget. French sources alone do not confirm a UK offer.
| Model | Identified references | Still to check |
|---|---|---|
| H12 Pro FlexReach | Exact roller and filter compatibility documented | Separately sold solution refill |
| STRETCH S6 | Exact filter compatibility documented | Roller by machine SKU; separate solution refill |
| F25 XT | Exact filter; solution documented by family and cross-sell | Exact roller compatibility |
- Fixed purchase budget: find an exact model that meets flooring and household constraints before adding features.
- Frequent use: clarify replacement-part identity before comparing discount percentages.
- Appliance versus bundle: count included parts and value only purchases they genuinely avoid.
Use the same scope for every candidate
Start with the exact offer including known delivery charges. Add consumables, accounting for included spares. Do not compare a bundle and a bare appliance without explaining the contents.
Specify included costs: purchase, rollers, filters, solution, energy and extras. An undocumented future repair can be your contingency assumption, but cannot be assigned to a model as a certain expense.
Apply the same rule to all three models
For H12 Pro FlexReach, STRETCH S6 and F25 XT, check consumable references, prices and replacement conditions before announcing a model-specific budget. Missing fields cannot be filled with an assumed category average.
The Roborock offer must be available and specifically XT. Inserting an ACE price changes the model. Financial comparisons need the same identity precision as technical ones.
Understand the formula and its sensitivity
With a constant annual budget, purchase plus consumables is: purchase price + 3 × annual budget. Add energy only from documented or explicit assumed session consumption: kWh per session × sessions weekly × 52 × 3 × price per kWh.
A hypothetical UK-pound example: an £80 higher purchase price and genuinely £20 lower annual consumable cost leave a £20 difference after three years, before other costs. This is arithmetic only, not a price conversion or a claim about any selected product.
Keep missing data visible
An empty field means “not entered”, not “free”. Keep known amounts and complete the remaining assumptions before calculating a total. The Homavise calculator marks the scenario incomplete until every required field is filled.
The calculator explores assumptions; it cannot predict lifespan or actual spending. If a small change in consumables reverses the order, uncertainty deserves as much attention as the central result. Value depends on use, available parts and the service received.
Set a useful threshold for a price premium
Another purely hypothetical pound example: an extra £60 upfront requires £20 annual savings for three years to break even, with everything else unchanged. If that saving is undocumented, do not call the premium recovered. A useful feature need not save money.
Try low and high consumable scenarios for each candidate. If the order changes easily, it is fragile: your practical constraint should outweigh an artificially precise total.
- Record date, seller, delivered price and accessories for each observed offer.
- Wait if an essential replacement part cannot be identified for the exact variant.
- Do not value a free accessory solely by the retailer’s crossed-out price.
Practical answers
Frequently asked questions
Which model is cheapest over three years?
Verified data cannot yet establish that. Consumable and energy costs are missing for a reliable ranking.
Does a more precise total mean a more reliable calculation?
No. Decimal places do not fix uncertain assumptions. Check sources, included costs and missing data.
Can I enter my own prices?
Yes. Treat them as your quotes or assumptions and use the same scope across scenarios.
Is wattage enough to state kWh per session?
No. Actual operating conditions and duration, plus the included cycles, are needed.
Does an identified part guarantee three years of availability?
No. Documented compatibility guarantees neither current stock nor future supply; these are separate checks.
