Identify the movement that matters at home
Trace the route from dock to water before comparing weights. Tineco’s FAQ specifies an empty weight; the other two sources do not describe weighing conditions sufficiently to standardise the comparison. Differences below are arithmetic, not Homavise measurements.
| Model | Manufacturer figure | Arithmetic difference from STRETCH S6 |
|---|---|---|
| Tineco STRETCH S6 | 4.5 kg | Calculation reference; empty according to FAQ |
| Roborock F25 XT | 4.7 kg | +0.2 kg; conditions not standardised |
| Dreame H12 Pro FlexReach | 5.1 kg | +0.6 kg; conditions not standardised |
- Repeated steps and lifting: try STRETCH S6 first, then check handle, balance and tank removal.
- Large rooms with little lifting: assess F25 XT SlideTech 2.0 wheels forwards, backwards and around turns.
- No major carrying constraint: keep H12 Pro FlexReach if its other features meet your needs.
- Exclude a model when an essential movement is impractical: a discount changes neither balance nor weight.
Start with the actions your home requires
Identify lifting points: steps, thresholds, floors and storage. Include tank handling. A short, repeated carry may matter more than a long session across an open room.
When an appropriate demonstration is available, reproduce essential actions: removing from the dock, turning, reversing and taking out the tank. An online demonstration shows controls, not the force your hand will feel.
Read weights alongside their conditions
Manufacturers publish 4.5 kg for STRETCH S6, 4.7 kg for F25 XT and 5.1 kg for H12 Pro FlexReach. Tineco therefore has the lowest published weight of these three. Unstandardised weighing conditions prevent us presenting this as our own comparative measurement.
Check whether the figure describes the machine, accessories or parcel. Tank filling and carried components affect the real movement too. Packaging weight must never stand in for appliance weight when assessing carrying.
Powered wheels do not reduce carrying weight
F25 XT states SlideTech 2.0 powered wheels, a feature to examine for floor-level steering. We have no measured effort comparison or test of its response in your narrow passages.
For a “light in the hand” claim, look for handle position, movement direction, flooring and test conditions. Without those details, keep it separate from total mass. Forward assistance does not reduce the weight lifted upstairs.
Make the shortlist conditional on your needs
If carrying comes first, inspect Tineco on its published weight. If movement assistance matters most, Roborock is a documented candidate, subject to trying your route. Do not exclude Dreame solely for mass if it is rarely lifted and other criteria matter more.
This is not a prescription for a health condition. It separates what sources establish from what a practical demonstration must resolve. Storage, controls and tank handling still belong in the final decision.
Try the essential movements before paying
In a shop, reproduce removing from the dock, reversing and the lift needed at home. A clear-floor video does not measure the force you feel. Nor should you calculate carrying weight by automatically adding both tank capacities: filling varies and transport must follow the manual.
- If both models permit the essential movement, compare delivered prices and consumables next.
- Do not pay extra solely for a lightness claim whose conditions are unspecified.
Practical answers
Frequently asked questions
Is the lightest model always the easiest to manoeuvre?
No. Total mass, distribution, wheels and movement are different factors. We have not measured steering effort.
Which has the lowest published weight in this selection?
Tineco FLOOR ONE STRETCH S6 states 4.5 kg. That alone does not establish better manoeuvrability.
Do powered wheels help carry it upstairs?
They assist floor-level movement, not the mass that must be lifted.
Why not compare parcel weights?
Parcels include packaging and may include accessories or a dock. They do not describe the appliance in use.
Is the published 200 g Tineco–Roborock difference enough to choose?
No. Weighing conditions are not standardised, and the handle may matter more. Use the figure as a reference, then check essential movements.
