List what you actually clean
During a normal week, list the surfaces and dirt you deal with: kitchen, hallway, bedrooms, rugs, skirting boards, furniture and car. Add less frequent jobs that matter to you. Separate the main task from extras so that a prominent feature does not distract you from your real needs.
Define the action too: picking up dry debris, washing an approved surface, reaching under a bed or cleaning upholstery. Two products called vacuums may have different heads, tanks and limitations. The exact model must support every essential use.
Compare the whole cleaning routine
Consider preparation, cleaning and finishing. A vacuum mop may combine tasks on a compatible floor, but still needs solution preparation, tank handling and prescribed maintenance. A dry vacuum has a different routine. An advert’s number of passes cannot establish your time saving.
Picture a small kitchen spill and a whole-home clean. For each, list the necessary actions without inventing timings. Decide whether preparation suits quick jobs and whether putting the appliance away is practical after longer sessions.
Read the exact model’s features
A range may include a dedicated hard-floor washer and a version with extra attachments or a detachable module. Check the full name, box contents and manual. FLOOR ONE STRETCH S6 does not inherit SWITCH features simply because the names overlap.
The three Homavise pilot models are compared as documented floor washers, not universal tools for fabrics, shelves or cars. If one of those tasks is essential, find a model or attachment explicitly designed for it and confirm it is included in the chosen offer.
Keeping two appliances can make sense
A working existing vacuum can cover jobs the new cleaner cannot. Allow storage for both machines, their attachments and docks. Compare the purchase price with the extra use you gain, rather than assuming the new appliance replaces everything.
If there is no space for a second dock, storage may become the deciding factor. Measure the usable area, tank-removal clearance and route to water before ordering. Body dimensions alone do not describe the dock’s footprint.
Build a comparison around your needs
Mark each task essential, useful or occasional. Exclude options that cannot do an essential job, then compare lifting weight, maintenance and documented consumables. A suction figure or secondary feature should not decide everything.
The Homavise comparison tool brings these criteria together. It does not replace trying a handle when movement or discomfort makes ergonomics decisive. We have not timed these products or measured time savings. An offer is easier to judge when you know which task it must improve.
- List every surface, including raised areas.
- Check permitted uses and exclusions in each manual.
- Compare the full routine, including maintenance.
- Decide whether the new cleaner complements or replaces an existing tool.
- Measure storage for the equipment you will keep.
Practical answers
Frequently asked questions
Does a vacuum mop always replace a conventional vacuum?
No. It depends on the exact model’s approved surfaces and attachments. Check rugs, furniture, stairs and the car separately.
Does suction mode allow every dry-vacuum task?
Not necessarily. The mode name is insufficient: the manual must permit the surface and materials involved.
How do I know whether an attachment is included?
Compare the offer’s box contents, product reference and selling country. A range photo is not a definitive list of supplied accessories.
Will a vacuum mop definitely save time?
Homavise cannot guarantee that without tests. Compare preparation, cleaning passes and maintenance for your own tasks.
Should I throw away my current vacuum?
No automatic replacement is needed. First identify the jobs it still covers and the space available for another appliance.
